As of mid-September 2021, nearly 200 Paraquat lawsuits have been filed in federal court alleging the herbicide manufacturers failed to warn users that the chemical may cause Parkinson’s disease or other neurological injuries.
Parkinson’s disease is a central nervous system disorder that causes tremors, slow movement, and muscle stiffness. Individuals have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s after mixing, handling, or spraying herbicides and pesticides containing Paraquat. These injured plaintiffs are now suing manufacturers and distributers for allegedly concealing safety risks.
